The piece
Eight-millimetre black obsidian with a deep mirror polish, strung without any metal. Volcanic glass, traditionally worn as a shield against other people's heaviness and for the honesty to see what needs to go. Real stock from the studio, and once these are gone we will not restring them.

Activate, cleanse & care
- Hold it in both hands and take three slow breaths.
- Say the intention out loud, three times: “Nothing that is not mine gets in.”
- Wear it on the wrist that feels right. Left to receive, right to project.
Cleanse on arrival and about once a month: overnight in moonlight, on a selenite plate, or with smoke. A quick rinse in plain water is fine. Full care guide.

About The Night
Which wrist do you wear The Night on?
The Night is a protection bracelet, and tradition puts protection stones on the right wrist, the projecting side. That is a custom, not a rule: wear black obsidian wherever it feels comfortable, and keep it off the hand you write with if the beads catch on the desk.
Can The Night get wet or sit in the sun?
Take it off before showers, swimming and the gym, because water and soap wear out stretch cord on every bracelet. A brief rinse in plain water is fine when you cleanse black obsidian. Its stones are sun safe, so a spell on a bright windowsill does no harm.
What does The Night stack with?
